As an artist, curator, tutor and events coordinator, I love to forge connections between artists and makers, food producers and performers. Wales has such a wealth of talent and so many hard-working creatives... and there are not enough opportunities for makers to showcase their high quality creations. It is a huge honour and pleasure to bring a lovely fusion of contemporary and traditional skills together at these warm and friendly Artisan Markets, Workshops, exhibitions and retreats.
In May 2018 I opened The Makers' Mezzanine, an artisan gallery and workshop space near Hay on Wye.
In January 202, we moved to Crickhowell, renamed the gallery The Makers, and are situated above Latte-Da café.
You will find both residential and visiting artists and makers, situated in our gallery in this award winning town.
I opened the gallery to give the many makers who do not have a studio or public premises, somewhere to showcase their creations.
